108 Straits Road

Hatfield, MA

20202 date TBD

Starts at 10:00 am

It all started with one run. Way back in 2015 Justin Killeen, owner of 50/50 Fitness Nutrition and Grant Ritter, a running obsessed Western MA native, met up for a casual 4 mile trail run. During the last climb of the day someone mentioned that the valley has so many amazing places to run yet so few half marathons and suddenly the Happy Valley Half Marathon was born. Since then Justin and Grant have continued improving the Happy Valley Half, they created the Fort Hill Brewery Half Marathon & 5K and they are now beyond excited to give you the Black Birch Vineyard 10 Miler.

We do this because we love the Pioneer Valley and we want to share it with you. Thank you for being what makes our events so special.

The valley has some of the best wines we have ever tasted and some of the best roads we have ever run on. This event combines both of those to give you a truly unique experience.

This is the event that started it all. The course is truly beautiful with just enough challenge and all kinds of fun. We serve up a vibrant after party at the finish line in Look Park with beer, food trucks and music. We created this event because we loved running and now we love delivering this experience to you year after year.

From the vineyard:

Black Birch Vineyard is a boutique winery located in the farming-rich community of Hatfield, Massachusetts. We offer notable, award-winning wines using premium grapes harvested from vineyards in the Northeast. Established in 2012, our vineyard was founded on the belief that truly great wine should be an art form, requiring much more than lab specialists and computerized fermentation charts. Since 2012, we have created 5 award-winning wines using best grapes from the cooler Northeast region.
